Koala Timber Vertical Blinds have been servicing the Australian public for over 20 years from their factory and showroom in Sydney's inner west. They were the first manufacturers of timber verticals in Australia.
Koala Timber Vertical Blinds use only plantation grown Western Red Cedar for the manufacture of their blinds. It is a renewable and energy efficient natural resource and conserves the natural environment.
Western Red Cedar is a fine grained, pitch-free wood of exceptional dimensional stability and durability, with the lowest volumetric shrinkage of any commercial softwood.
Its air-filled cellular structure and natural preservative oils make it an outstanding insulator, that withstands the assaults of time and weather. Being a natural product some slight movement is expected in the timber.
